Keeping an Eye out for Spring flowers

Today is such a Beautiful sunny day! I am keeping an "eye" out for spring flowers! I thought I would post a quick sketch of an eye. I am so looking forward to warm days of spring here in Ohio.

Today I thought I would post a photo of my new mixed media piece ADAM. This piece was inspired by Michelangelo The Creation of Adam. The first thing I did was to sculpt with a palette knife on a canvas for lots of thick texture. I then let it dry overnight before doing a transfer method and then painting over the sculpture and then adding more texture with more sculpting material and paint. I did this in several layers. This painting is on a 12 x 12 canvas. I used lots of different mediums on this piece. There are Angels among us!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines day yesterday! I thought it would be timely to post a photo of one of my sculptures that was exhibited in the TOO Gallery (Top Of Ohio) at this time last year. This Angel was in the exhibit called FOR THE LOVE OF ART. This large sculpture stands about 20 inches and was so fun to make! I used many different elements to create her. She is all original.
It is a mixed media piece and One of a Kind. My Angel has now spread her wings and found her home in a Nursing residence. This piece reminds me of the verse "For He will give His Angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways." Psalm 91:11
